Womenswear production for online retailers and buying teams.

You are working to a launch window, not to a single style. This path covers how a multi-style range is sequenced, briefed and approved so the drop lands together.

What this path settles

Three decisions that decide whether a drop lands together.

A range rarely fails on one garment. It slips because nine styles were briefed in nine formats and nobody owned the sequence.

01 · Range planning

Several styles, one launch window — who holds the sequence?

A retailer does not buy one product, it buys a drop. The useful question is which styles are launch-critical and which can move, because that ordering decides sampling sequence, approval deadlines and production slots.

02 · Comparable briefs

Can two styles be compared without guessing?

When each style arrives in a different format, quotations stop being comparable and the comparison collapses into an argument about which brief was better described. Normalised inputs fix that before pricing starts.

03 · Change handling

What happens when a style changes close to launch?

Range plans move. The workable path is a named owner on each side, a written record of what changed and when, and an explicit statement of what the change costs in time — not a silent rebuild in the sample room.

Working sequence

How a multi-style range is normally run.

Steps are listed in the order they protect the launch window. Nothing here is a quotation term — quantities and timing are confirmed per style.

  1. 01

    Style list and priorities

Send the styles in one list with a launch priority against each one, rather than one message per style spread over a week.

  2. 02

    One brief format per style

The same fields for every style — category, construction, material direction, finish, brand details, quantity estimate — so quotations line up side by side.

  3. 03

    Named approver on your side

Sampling stops when comments arrive from several directions at once. One approver per style keeps the round count honest.

  4. 04

    Sampling and approval window

Plan the approval dates backwards from the launch window. Sampling is quoted at about 3 working days from a tech pack and about 5 working days from images plus a brief.

  5. 05

    Launch-critical exceptions

Decide in advance which styles must be protected if the window tightens, and which can move to a later drop without hurting the range.

Honest boundaries

What this path does not do.

Online retail attracts offers that look adjacent but work differently. These are outside the current focus.

  • Print-on-demand and dropshipping, where the product is created after the sale rather than before the drop.
  • Blank-garment resale, where no development work sits between the order and the dispatch.
  • Compressed timelines that would skip the sample approval or the inspection check to hit a date.
  • Per-style quantities below the published band, which change the production model rather than the order size.

Before the range review

Two documents that make the first review useful.

One style list with priorities, and one brief per style in the same format. Everything else can stay open.

Style list

What it holds: every style in the drop, its category, a quantity estimate and whether it is launch-critical or movable.

Per-style brief

What it holds: construction, material direction, finish, brand details and the approval deadline each style is working towards.

Questions before the next step

Common questions on this topic.

These answers define the decision boundary for this page. Commercial terms and factory-specific feasibility still require project review.

01Can several styles run as one order?

Yes — a range is normally quoted and produced style by style but coordinated as one programme with a single sequence and a single set of approval deadlines. Quantities, materials and process count still sit behind each style's own MOQ position inside the published 200–500 pcs per style band.

02What happens if a launch date moves?

Tell us as early as the change is known. The sequence is re-ordered against the new dates and we state plainly which styles still fit and which no longer do at the agreed quality level. We do not promise a compressed timeline that the sample room and the line cannot hold.

03How are approvals tracked across a multi-style range?

Each style carries its own record: the brief version, the sample round, the comments given and the point at which it was approved. Nothing moves to production on a verbal approval, and the record is what the bulk run is checked against.

04Do you support a small first run per style?

A new style can start at the lower end of the published band so the first drop can be tested on real sell-through before the range is extended. The exact figure depends on fabric, construction and process count, and is confirmed per style in the project review.

From research to a useful brief

Send the style list and the launch window.

You do not need every answer before the first conversation. Share the product direction, available files, quality expectations and known commercial context.

Send an inquiry

Two steps, then review. Text only; no file uploads.

  1. Step 1 of 2 Fit check
  2. Step 2 of 2 Details
01 Initial fit check

Start with five required details. Add your project requirements next, then review before sending.

Choose the closest current category. Construction and supplier fit still require review.

Enter the buyer's working estimate, or “Not confirmed.” This is not an MOQ statement.

Add a website or phone Optional

A link to your brand or company site helps the review start with real context.

Include a number if you would like us to reply by phone or WhatsApp.

Nothing is sent from step 1. The detailed specification comes next.

When you select “Send RFQ”, the text fields are emailed to HACOLD and stored in the private inquiry dashboard for follow-up; short-lived pseudonymous request metadata is used for abuse control.
