Womenswear manufacturing

Womenswear manufacturing, reviewed one range at a time.

Womenswear is decided by the body, the material behaviour and the colour plan long before the look is final. Work through the range that matters to your customer, and let each category carry its own fit, construction and finishing requirements.

Where a womenswear order is won or lost

Three decisions that carry the whole range.

Category is only the starting point. Most of the difference between a womenswear range that repeats cleanly and one that has to be reopened sits in fit, material behaviour and colour — and those are settled before bulk, not at inspection.

01 · Fit and grade

The measurement set decides the range.

Womenswear is judged on the body before it is judged on the photograph. A base size, the grading increments for your market and the accepted tolerance per measurement point are agreed before bulk fabric is booked, so a repeat order continues on the same fit.

02 · Material behaviour

Hand feel has to survive the first wash.

Weight, shrinkage, drape, stretch and recovery decide whether the garment still reads as the same style after a season of wear. Material direction is confirmed on the actual fabric, not on a swatch photograph or a composition line alone.

03 · Colour control

Colour count is a development cost.

Each colour reference is submitted for approval, then bulk is matched against it. Adding a shade late changes the lab dip rounds, the sampling sequence and the packing plan, which is why the colour count belongs in the first brief.

Current category coverage

Five womenswear categories.

Each category below is reviewed against its own material, construction and finishing decisions. Whether a specific style is workable is confirmed on the brief, not by the category name.

Short-sleeve T-shirts

Build the first review around jersey weight, neckline, fit, branding and colourways—not a generic unit price.

Fabric composition and weight is one of the points fixed for this category. Review t-shirt manufacturing

Hoodies

Settle the fabric, silhouette, hood, rib, zip and decoration before comparing the quotation.

Fabric face and inner finish is one of the points fixed for this category. Review hoodie manufacturing

Polo shirts

Align body fabric, collar and cuff structure, placket details, fit and finishing before sampling decisions are fixed.

Body fabric and knit structure is one of the points fixed for this category. Review polo shirt manufacturing

Trousers

Bring the intended silhouette, fabric behavior, waistband, pocket and fastening requirements into one product brief.

Silhouette, rise and inseam is one of the points fixed for this category. Review trouser manufacturing

Skirts

Define shape, drape, lining, waistband, closure and length against the target customer and price position.

Shape, length and volume is one of the points fixed for this category. Review skirt manufacturing

Category coverage describes what can be reviewed, not what is automatically available. Material, construction, process and supplier scope are confirmed per style and per order.

From range brief to sealed sample

Six stages from your brief to a repeatable style.

The sequence is fixed so that nobody is asked to decide twice. Each stage closes a specific question and leaves a record the next stage can be checked against.

  1. 01

    Range and category

Name the categories, the style count, the size range and the intended market. This sets what the review has to cover.

  2. 02

    Fit reference and base size

Confirm the reference garment or measurement chart, the base size and the grading expectation before pattern work starts.

  3. 03

    Material and colour direction

Agree composition, weight, hand-feel direction and the colour count that will actually be developed.

  4. 04

    First sample

The first round is given one purpose: to close fit, proportion, material behaviour and finish on the body.

  5. 05

    Grading and bulk confirmation

Measurements are graded across the size range and each point is checked against the accepted tolerance.

  6. 06

    Sealed sample and repeat file

The approved sample, materials and changes are recorded together, so a reorder continues on what you already approved.

Order parameters

MOQ, sampling and production.

These are the current working figures for mid-market womenswear programmes. Each one is confirmed for the style once the specification, the quantity context and the responsible production unit are known.

01

MOQ

200–500 pcs per style

Where a style lands in the band is set by the fabric, the construction and the number of processes in the order. Plain jersey styles sit at the lower end; heavier builds and multi-process orders move up.

02

Sampling

3 to 5 working days

About 3 working days from a tech pack, drawing or approved reference sample, and about 5 working days when the starting point is reference images and a written brief.

03

Production

Repeat-ready from the first run

Bulk runs against the sealed sample and the recorded materials, so a reorder continues on the construction you already approved instead of reopening it.

A flat MOQ is not published because it would be wrong for most styles. Sampling time is counted in working days from the point the reference material and the open questions are confirmed. How delivery, payment and sampling terms are confirmed

The RFQ checks and formats these inputs for review before sending the text to the HACOLD project contact. File upload remains unavailable.

Scope before capability claims

What this page does not confirm.

Category names, reference visuals and published working figures describe how a review is run. They are not a product offer, a supplier record or a quotation term.

Questions before the next step

Questions about a womenswear range.

These answers define the decision boundary for this page. Commercial terms and factory-specific feasibility still require project review.

01Which womenswear categories can be reviewed through this page?

Short-sleeve T-shirts, hoodies, polo shirts, trousers and skirts are the five categories currently published. Each category page sets out its own review points for material, construction and finishing. Other womenswear categories require their own review before any offer is made, and this page does not claim coverage of them.

02Does this page confirm MOQ, sampling time or capacity for my style?

No. The published working range is 200 to 500 pieces per style and 3 to 5 working days for sampling, but where a style lands in that band is confirmed once the fabric, the construction, the process count and the responsible production unit are known. Nothing on this page is a quotation term.

03What do we need to send to start a womenswear review?

A tech pack, a reference sample, drawings or clearly labelled reference images, plus the intended size range, colour count, quantity context and destination market. Unknown quantities and timing can stay open at this stage — they are marked as estimates rather than turned into commitments.

Send an inquiry

Two steps, then review. Text only; no file uploads.

  1. Step 1 of 2 Fit check

01 Initial fit check

Start with five required details. Add your project requirements next, then review before sending.

Choose the closest current category. Construction and supplier fit still require review.

Enter the buyer's working estimate, or “Not confirmed.” This is not an MOQ statement.
