Buyer resource · Buyer reference

Clothing reorder checklist for a new manufacturing quote.

Keep the approved product reference, but rebuild the current order assumptions. Use a change log to separate repeated details from decisions needing fresh confirmation.

Evidence statusEditorial buyer reference; illustrative record, not an actual order or production approval

Repeat the reference, not the old assumptions.

A clothing reorder checklist compares the previously approved product with the inputs for a new order. The garment may be familiar while the quantity, colour mix, material availability, packing or delivery requirement has changed.

This is a proposed buyer-side change log for an established womenswear range, not a replenishment service or a current factory commitment. The test-to-scale framework retains the broader first-order-to-repeat-order decision.

Past approval does not confirm current availability.

Ask for fresh confirmation of material, project scope, quotation and timing. This page does not promise unchanged prices, reserved capacity, fixed MOQ or faster production for repeat orders.

Compare the old record with the new request.

Approved product
Previous style/order reference, current tech-pack revision, approved sample, measurement chart, artwork and known accepted exceptions.
Quantity and assortment
New units by style, colour and size, plus packing ratios. Distinguish an estimate from an order quantity ready to quote.
Material and colour
Required material reference and approved colour standard. Ask about availability and proposed substitutions; do not infer that an earlier batch is still available.
Product changes
List fit, construction, decoration or label revisions. Identify which changes need a new sample or technical review before confirmation.
Packing and destination
Current destination, label inputs, assortment, shipping marks and packing instruction. Route market obligations to the separate compliance review.
Commercial confirmation
Current quotation, scope and exclusions, payment and delivery assumptions, target dates and the people authorized to confirm them.

Keep the reference. Reconfirm the new order.

Use these three decisions for each line of the new brief. They describe a proposed buyer review, not an approved production sequence.

Retain
Name the approved reference and its revision. State exactly which product detail is intended to stay the same.
Change
Identify the new quantity, colour, specification or packing requirement. Keep the previous value traceable.
Reconfirm
Request a current response on availability, review evidence, quotation and timing. Keep unresolved answers open.
Buyer-side decision aid. A retained product reference is not a new order acceptance or production release.

A new colour can leave the garment construction unchanged while still requiring a material or colour decision. A different size mix can leave the measurements unchanged while changing the quantity breakdown. Ask which linked records need revision rather than marking the entire order “same as before”.

An illustrative hoodie reorder-change record.

The rows below show how to structure the conversation. They are not a customer case, actual order or confirmed hoodie manufacturing offer.

Retained reference
Previous approved hoodie construction and measurement revision. Identify the actual documents and sample before marking them unchanged.
New request
A different colour/size mix. Provide the new unit breakdown and colour standard instead of writing only “same order again”.
Open confirmation
Ask whether the intended fleece, rib and trims can be reviewed for the new request, and whether any substitution would require another approval.
Release evidence
Record the supplier response, current quotation and any revised sample or specification needed. Keep approval authority and unresolved items visible.

Use the hoodie product brief for category-specific fit, fabric and trim questions. For a T-shirt repeat, continue with the T-shirt product brief rather than copying hoodie assumptions.

Do not carry an old problem into the next batch.

Review the previous sample comments, inspection findings and any accepted exceptions. Decide whether an exception was limited to that order or is part of the approved ongoing specification. Record any corrective instruction that must be checked again.

  • Identify the finding and the requirement it was assessed against.
  • State what changed in the product record after the finding.
  • Name the evidence expected on the new order.
  • Keep unresolved claims separate from a new production authorization.

The quality-claim review page owns how an issue is reported and assessed. This checklist neither grants a remedy nor sets a claim window.

Send a repeat-order pack with a short delta list.

Combine the current approved reference, new quantity breakdown, change log, known issues and target dates. Mark each entry unchanged, changed or awaiting confirmation. Ask the supplier to confirm which assumptions still apply and which need a new decision.

Review order-quantity constraints and the packing specification when the mix changes. Submit only a non-confidential summary through the RFQ; agree the document exchange separately.

Make the next quotation request specific.

State the garment category, intended repeat reference, new style/colour/size quantities, changed inputs and requested dates. Do not send confidential previous-order documents through the text-only form.

Discuss a repeat manufacturing brief

Before asking for the repeat quotation.

Does a reorder always need another sample?

Agree that by project. Identify changed or uncertain inputs and ask what review evidence is required; a previous approval alone does not answer every new decision.

Can I assume the previous unit price still applies?

No current price is established by this worksheet. Request a new quotation against the new quantities, specification and delivery scope.

Can a repeat order be promised faster?

Do not infer a lead time from the fact that a style was made before. Material readiness, open changes and the current production plan need confirmation.

Is moving a repeat style to another supplier the same as reordering?

No previous supplier approval proves the new supplier can reproduce the style. Treat the controlled product references as inputs for a new feasibility and sample review, and agree the scope before requesting production.

Ready for a project review?

Prepare the changed inputs for a reorder review.

Share the product direction, available references, unresolved decisions and commercial context you already have. Project feasibility still requires a specific review.

Prepare an RFQ

Send an inquiry

Two steps, then review. Text only; no file uploads.

  1. Step 1 of 2 Fit check
  2. Step 2 of 2 Details
01 Initial fit check

Start with five required details. Add your project requirements next, then review before sending.

Choose the closest current category. Construction and supplier fit still require review.

Enter the buyer's working estimate, or “Not confirmed.” This is not an MOQ statement.

Add a website or phone Optional

A link to your brand or company site helps the review start with real context.

Include a number if you would like us to reply by phone or WhatsApp.

Nothing is sent from step 1. The detailed specification comes next.

When you select “Send RFQ”, the text fields are emailed to HACOLD and stored in the private inquiry dashboard for follow-up; short-lived pseudonymous request metadata is used for abuse control. Email and WhatsApp remain available as backup channels. Do not include confidential files until a separate handling method is agreed.
